Youth Appreciation Week

Youth Appreciation WeekSince 1957, Optimist Clubs around the world have recognized youth for their talents in the arts, athletics, and academics and for contributions to community through Youth Appreciation Week (YAW) in November. This is the most popular Optimist International program with over 2,000 clubs participating each year.

The Timonium Optimists use this celebration as an opportunity to recognize and honor outstanding young people in our metropolitan area. It is a program intended to build the self-esteem of youth and to inform the community of the positive achievements of young people.
